EXPANSION JOINT ACCESSORIES
Garlock Piping Expansion Joint Accessories, offered by Lake Charles Rubber & Gasket, include Control Units/Tie Rods, Metal Flow Liners, and Metal Retaining Rings. Recommended for most applications, a Control Unit allows the Expansion Joint to move to its rated design capabilities while preventing damage or premature failure due to excessive movement. A Metallic Flow Liner can extend service life by protecting the Expansion Joint from abrasive materials or solids, particularly in high-velocity applications. Retaining Rings are required for all Expansion Joint installations. The metal retaining ring distributes the bolt load equally, preventing flange damage during bolt tightening and ensuring an exceptional seal that prevents flange leaks.
